One person has been charged after a seizure of drugs in Napanee.

The OPP East Region Community Street Crime Unit began an investigation into drug trafficking in the area this fall, eventually resulting in a search warrant at a John St. residence on Thursday.

Members of the CSCU and OPP officers seized nearly four grams of suspected methamphetamine, as well as items typically associated with drug trafficking.

Meghan Thompson, 37 of Greater Napanee, has been charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Napanee Court on January 27, 2026.
