By Hailey MacDonald Nov 30, 2025 | 5:58 AM

Winter parking rules in Prince Edward County will be in effect starting Monday, December 1.

Winter parking in Picton:

Parking in Picton is free from Dec 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026. This includes parking spaces on Picton Main St, Walton St, Elizabeth St, Ross St, Market Lane, and a small section of King St.

Drivers are encouraged to ‘Feed the Meter’ during the month of December to help support Food for Learning. All proceeds collected in parking meters on Picton Main St during the month will help buy breakfast, lunch, and snacks for students in local schools.

As of Dec 1, no parking is permitted on any streets or highways in the County of Prince Edward between the hours of 12am and 6am. The overnight parking restrictions will remain in effect until March 31, 2026.

The winter parking restriction includes all municipal parking lots, except in these areas posted with winter parking sections:

55 King St parking lot (Picton): Parking is permitted along the east side of the lot on even-numbered days and along the west side of the lot on odd-numbered days.
