By Paul Martin Nov 28, 2025 | 6:10 AM

More information is expected later today (Friday) about the search for two suspects last night (Thursday) in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.

The Tyendinaga Police Service posted twice on social media last night about a motor vehicle investigation in the area of Lower Slash Road west of Highway 49.

Two male occupants reportedly fled after being involved in a collision.

OPP K9 and Emergency Response Units were all on scene with multiple people saying they had seen the canine unit on or around their property in that area.

As of 9 pm when the last post was made, police had discontinued the search with both males still outstanding.

Tyendinaga Police were advising residents living on Lower Slash Road west of Highway 49 to keep their doors locked and to report any suspicious activity in the area.
