Prince Edward County OPP has released the name of the person arrested in this past weekend’s armed robbery case in Picton.
OPP has charged Dylan Barsley, 22 of Picton with;
Robbery using firearm (restricted or prohibited)
Unauthorized possession of a firearm
Theft of motor vehicle
Disguise with intent
Dangerous operation
Flight from peace officer – two counts
Failure to comply with release order – two counts
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville for a bail hearing.
UPDATE Monday morning at 11 am – An arrest has been made in the case. More details are expected on Monday afternoon from Prince Edward OPP.
ORIGINAL STORY – The Prince Edward County Detachment of Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating an armed robbery and vehicle theft at a Picton gas station.
On Saturday, November 22, 2025, shortly before 1:30 a.m., a male suspect entered a gas station in downtown Picton, allegedly armed with a handgun. After the robbery, the suspect fled the scene in a stolen vehicle.
Through a coordinated effort involving the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team, the Canine Unit and Lennox & Addington OPP, the stolen vehicle was quickly located and seized.
The male suspect remains at large and is described as
· White male
· 6’0, large build
· Brown curly hair
· Red hoodie with white writing, tan pants, and black shoes
The Prince Edward County Crime Unit is continuing the investigation.
