PEC fire on scene of downed pole in Carrying Place

By Paul Martin Nov 27, 2025 | 7:17 AM

A weather-related hazard is causing traffic delays on Thursday morning in the Carrying Place area.

Prince Edward County Firefighters are on the scene of an incident on Gardenville Road.

Officials have confirmed that a tree has been knocked down and is being suspended by wires (Bell line) in the area.

It is not enough room for larger vehicles to safely pass through the area.

Gardenville Road was reportedly closed at County Road 64 while they fix the problem.

No injuries were reported.

High winds caused a series of smaller and more localized issues across the Quinte Region overnight including a handful of small outages.
