Children’s Safety Village bringing Christmas joy December 6

The Children’s Safety Village is bringing the magic of Christmas home early in December.

The organization is inviting families and individuals to its annual Christmas in the Village celebration on Saturday, December 6th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a special Sensory Sensitive Hour from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. designed to ensure an inclusive and welcoming experience for all children.

This beloved community event transforms the Village into a festive holiday wonderland and features an evening full of family fun, including free chili for all guests, free balloon artistry, holiday treats, Christmas caroling and a Gingerbread Contest in support of MADD Quinte and CSV.

The Gingerbread Contest will take place at 6:00 p.m. Participants may enter by purchasing a gingerbread kit for $5, with proceeds supporting MADD Quinte and the Children’s Safety Village. Three winners will be selected based on creativity, design, and holiday cheer.

“We are thrilled to open the Village once again for this magical holiday event,” stated Rachelle Baldock, Executive Director.

“Christmas in the Village brings families together, supports community partners like MADD Quinte, and celebrates the spirit of safety, joy, and togetherness that the season brings. Our Sensory Sensitive Hour is an important part of ensuring every child feels welcomed and included.”

Admission to the event is by donation, and all activities are designed to be family-friendly and memorable.
