Belleville Police make arrest in domestic threatening case

A Belleville man was arrested after a domestic incident escalated on Wednesday night.

At 9:54pm, Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s east end regarding a report of threats being made.

Upon arrival, it was reported that a male and a female had been involved in a verbal altercation, during which the male reportedly threatened to burn the house down.

As a result of investigation, a 35-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with:

· Uttering threats

· Fail to comply with probation order

He was held for a bail hearing. No name was released.
