A verbal argument that reportedly escalated into an assault has led to one arrest.

Belleville Police officers dealt with a dispute in the north end after 9:30 Thursday night which reportedly stemmed from ongoing issues between neighbours.

One of the men told police that a verbal argument had escalated into a physical assault, during which he was punched in the face.

Officers reviewed video footage of the incident and identified the suspect.

47-year-old Mickel Turner was arrested and charged with assault.

He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in December.
