Saint Agnes Soaps & Appareal opens online store in Quinte West

By Hailey MacDonald Sep 17, 2025 | 6:42 PM

Bringing a thoughtful blend of handcrafted soaps, apparel, and speciality goods to the Quinte West community, Saint Agnes Soaps & Apparel has officially launched their online store.

Owner Christine Sherrington, who returned to Trenton in 2020, says the inspiration for opening her business comes from both her roots and her desire to contribute to the local economy.

“Like all small towns, we don’t grow with out each other,” said Sherrington.

“When one business opens, it is out of a desire to build something that maybe wasn’t there previously but was needed, or perhaps to carry on what another business leaves behind. I am originally from southwestern Quebec and I see a lot in common between Quinte West and my hometown in Chateauguay Valley, and it feels wonderful to build something here.”

Saint Agnes specializes in handmade bar soaps crafted with natural ingredients, including Canadian seed oils like Canola, known for their moisturizing qualities.

To compliment the skincare line, Saint Agnes carries imported ladieswear from the UK, British teas, and treats from Buckingham Palace, as well as a personalized shopping service for women seeking fashion advice and assistance with online purchases.

Online store always open at www.saintagnessoaps.com.

In-person visits are available by appointment and for order pickup at 613-305-1391, saintagnessoaps@gmail.com, or @SaintAgnesSoaps on Facebook and Instagram.
