Picton Fair begins next week

One of Ontario’s oldest agricultural fairs will be returning next week.

The 188th Picton Fair will take place between September 5-7, 2025 at the Picton Fairgrounds (375 Main St, Picton).

Hours of operation: Friday, Sep 5, 8:30am to 11pm, Saturday, Sep 6, 8:30am to 11pm, Sunday, Sep 7, 8:30am to 5pm.

For admission, adults are $10, while students aged 13-17 are for $5, and children under 12 are free.

Advance adult weekend passes (three day passes) are $25 and are available at the Fair Office.

Your paid gate ticket includes parking on the fairgrounds.

There will be a variety of events available this weekend.

Friday, Sep 5 includes a 4-H dairy calf show, a tractor pull in front of the Grandstand, a feature performance by Black Tie Affair (tribute to Garth Brooks) in the Crystal Palace, followed by the Isabella Hoops Fire Show.

Saturday, Sep 6 includes a saddle horse show, the 17th Annual Celebrity Bake-off and Auction in the Curling Club, arm wrestling competition, Pet Valu Mutt ‘DOG’ Show, antique tractors display, skateboard competition in the skate board park, a feature performance by The Plow Boys, classic championship wrestling, and the Heavy Horse Team Matches Show in front of the Grandstand.

Sunday, Sep 7 includes a craft market at the Crystal Palace, 4-H sheep/goat show at the Cattle Show Pavilion, Tim Burr Circus Lumberjack Show, Picton Cruz Club Car Show and Shine, and Impact Motorsports Demolition Derby on the track in front of the Grandstand.

The 2025 Baby Show will take place Saturday, Sep 6 in the Crystal Palace with check-in beginning at noon. Pickup and drop off entry forms at Picton Home Hardware and/or the Picton Fair Office no later than Sep 3.
