A 21-year-old Belleville man has received a two-year prison sentence for child pornography and sexual interference-related charges.

The man, whose name is under a publication ban due to the nature of his relationship with the reported victim, was sentenced on December 19 to prison time, along with three years probation by Justice Janet Robb.

He was arrested in 2024 by Quinte West OPP along with Belleville police after a search of a residence and is not allowed to have any contact with the victim or her mother once he is released from custody.

The man is also not allowed to be anywhere near a person under 16 unless supervised, must submit a DNA sample and will be listed on the sex offender registry.

A weapons ban has also been enacted.
