Multiple crashes as rain leads to slick roads in region

By Hailey MacDonald Oct 22, 2025 | 9:55 AM

Steady rain on Wednesday, Oct 22 has been a likely factor in a series of crashes across the region.

Around 9:30 am, there was a collision at the intersection of Hwy 7 and 41 near Kaladar. Traffic was able to get around the scene but some delays were expected. No word on injuries.

At 9:47, there was another incident where a disabled vehicle was spotted at the 401 Westbound RAMP at Hwy 62 North.  The ramp was closed with some delays in the area. They cleared the scene by 10:30 am.

Earlier in the morning, there was a multi-vehicle collision at the on-ramp at Sydenham Road on the eastbound 401 approaching Kingston. They closed the highway for a brief period of time, but they cleared the scene by 9 am.

Police are advising motorists to slow down and show caution until conditions improve.
