There was snow and lots of it in the month of January.

8 Wing CFB Trenton recorded 117.6 cm of snowfall through its weather readings, setting a record for the month of January.

That broke the previous monthly record set back in January 1999 of 113.9 cm.

Last month also came close to breaking the all-time record for every month, where 120.5 centimetres fell in December of 1977 in Quinte.
