The Trenton Golden Hawks have made another mark in the win column, upending the Aurora Tigers 8-3 Tuesday afternoon at ‘The Hangar.’
Trenton got out to a 1-0 lead after one period on Andrew Wycisk’s fourth of the year.
The team grew that lead to 4-1 after the second with Taeo Artichuk burying his team-leading 30th and 31st of the season and Kale Mace potting his ninth.
The Hawks blew the game open after Charlie Hotles notched a powerplay goal for Aurora, getting goals on the man advantage themselves from Candon O’Neill and Daylen Moses and even strength markers from Lucas Digiantommaso and Jack Ziliotto.
Every skater on the Hawks except two had at least one point and Colton Drillen-Roach stopped 23 for the win.
Trenton improves to 30-8-0-2 on the season with 62 points and leapfrog the idle Stouffville Spirit for first in the OJHL’s East Conference.
The Hawks stay at home to meet the Pickering Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
