Pegasus Cheer brings home a gold from La Belle Province

Pegasus Cheer has brought home a gold medal finish from La Belle Province.

This past weekend, the Belleville-based cheerleading organization finished first in the Aquarius Open Level 3 division for competitors 16 years of age and older at the Frostfest Championships in Montreal, Quebec.

The stunt group also achieved the distinction of ‘hitting zero’ meaning they completed their routine with no deductions or legalities, a testament to the athletes working together to accomplish their goals.

The Frostfest Championships marked the first competition of the season for the team, the only one sent to represent Pegasus Cheer.

“Returning to the mats after a decade away was an incredible experience,” stated team member Serena Fortin.

“While it’s been years since my university cheer days, the energy and team bond felt as thrilling as I remembered. I’m so grateful to Pegasus Cheer for helping me prove that you’re never too old to return to the sport you love.”

Founded in 2014 and located at Zone Athletics, Pegasus Cheer is Quinte’s only All-Star cheerleading program offering competitive and non-competitive teams, individual and duo routines, and stunt groups for individuals of all abilities ages 3+.
