Belleville man faces charges after pedestrian is sent to hospital

By Katie Sherratt Jul 2, 2024 | 11:11 AM

Belleville Police were called to a parking lot on Wallbridge-Loyalist Road on Saturday around 12:30 a.m. regarding a pedestrian hit by a vehicle.

At the scene, officers found a 23-year-old man suffering trauma as a result of being struck — the male was taken to Kingston General Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle returned to the scene shortly after police arrived — an investigation resulted in 24-year-old Raminder Singh Padda of Belleville facing charges of dangerous operation causing bodily harm and failing to stop at an accident causing bodily harm when he appears in court sometime next month.
