A Belleville man has been arrested after an incident where someone reportedly tried to set a fire inside a rental property earlier this month.

On December 10th, Belleville Police received a report that a male had lit a piece of trash on fire inside a rental house and had also tampered with the fire alarms.

Officers reviewed surveillance footage and observed someone lighting a fire contained within a room.

A suspect was identified and on Monday, Brandon Dubblestein, (age 29) of Belleville was located, arrested and charged with mischief endangering life.

He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in February.
