Trent Hills man charged in drug seizure in Napanee

One person has been charged after a seizure of illegal drugs in Napanee.

The OPP East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) began an investigation into drug trafficking in the area this fall and had identified an individual believed to be selling cocaine.

On Thursday, December 18th, officers with CSCU, assisted by members of the Lennox and Addington County OPP, located and arrested the individual on Bridge Street East. Officers seized nearly 13 grams of suspected cocaine.

A 39-year-old man from the Municipality of Trent Hills, has been charged with:

  • Possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Mischief-renders property dangerous, useless, inoperative or ineffective

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
