The name of one of the Trenton Golden Hawks top fans has its place at the Duncan McDonald Community Gardens forever.
Wayne Baril, nicknamed the ‘Super Fan,’ was inducted into the Golden Hawks Hall of Fame prior to the team’s game versus the Lindsay Muskies on Tuesday night.
Baril was honoured with a jersey from his favourite NHL team, the Montreal Canadiens and a banner enshrining his name among the biggest
Baril joins fellow inductees John McDonald (former Manager of Business Operations), John Williams (late former Quinte West Mayor and fan) and Peter Huff (former Trenton Sting owner).
He has supported Trenton hockey for more than 40 years, contributing through selling 50/50 tickets and raffle tickets and general volunteering.
