Novice driver charged after vehicle collides with building in Kingston

A novice driver was charged after a vehicle struck a building in Kingston on Monday.

On December 8, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m. members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to a report of a single vehicle collision in the 200 block of Brock Street.

On arrival officers located a vehicle that had crashed into the bottom window of a residence on Brock Street.

The vehicle suffered extensive damage while the structural integrity of the residence was not affected.

The driver was taken to Kingston Police headquarters where they provided two samples of their breath, both of which registered a reading under the legal limit.

The 22-year-old driver of Kingston was issued a 3-day license suspension for being a novice driver and having any level of BAC above zero, the driver was also charged with careless driving and no valid permit.

No name was released.
