Assault and forcible confinement charges laid in Bancroft

The Bancroft OPP has laid several charges against a man from the community in a forcible confinement case.

Officers attended an address on Valleyview Drive in the Town of Bancroft on Sunday afternoon to investigate one person was arrested and transported to the Bancroft OPP detachment.

Joseph Easton-Vautour 34, of Bancroft has been charged with two counts of assault, assault causing bodily harm, forcible confinement, mischief under $5,000 and theft under $5,000

The accused was held for bail and remanded into custody. The accused is scheduled to appear in Belleville Court on Dec. 10.
