SENIOR HOCKEY: Bulldogs on a roll

The Deseronto Bulldogs continue to roll in the Northern Premier Sr. A Hockey League, collecting their fourth straight victory last weekend with a 6-2 win over the Westport Lumberjacks.

BULLDOGS 6, LUMBERJACKS 2

Austin Eastman (2), Jacob Panetta, Mitch Gustavson, Alex Yuill and Jason Shaw supplied the Deseronto goals while netminder Corey Kuypers chalked up the W with 39 saves.

Deseronto led 5-0 before Westport got on the scoreboard.

Bulldogs improve to 6-3-1 while Westport falls to 4-and-5.

ON DECK: Deseronto at Prince Edward County, Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

OIL KINGS 8 ROYALS 4

With two goals and three assists, Dawson Ellis led the Tweed Oil Kings with a five-point outing in their 8-4 doubling of the County Kings.

Brody Morris, Jakob Brahaney and Andrew Bencze each had a goal and two helpers while other Tweed tallies went to Jacob Vreugdenhill, Colin Van Den Hurk and Pat Millington.

Matt Loveys posted the win in net for the Oil Kings with a 38-save effort.

Nolan Van Vlack, Matt Donovan, Braydan Forestell and Cody Clancy scored for PEC which got 46-save goaltending from Nic McGrayne.

Tweed is now 6-and-3; PEC is 2-6-1.
