Belleville striker getting provincial, national attention

A Belleville striker continues to gain provincial and national attention for her success in soccer.

Sophia Saville has received four different soccer awards during the months of October and November, all in her rookie year at the highest level of play in the province.

Saville, a graduate of Nicholson Catholic College and current member of the Western University Mustangs in London, Ont., received two awards from League 1 Ontario, the highest level of play in Ontario.

These include Finalist Forward of the Year and a selection to the 1st All-Star Team.

She was also placed on the 2nd All-Star Team by the Ontario Unversity Association (OUA) and was picked for the All Canadian Rookie Team by U Sports Canada)

Additionally, she was selected for the Ontario Provincial Soccer Team as a U17 Player last year.

Saville cut her teeth as a youth player with the Belleville Comets and Quinte West Wolverines.
