Athlete of the Week: Noah McLean

By Katie Sherratt Nov 7, 2025 | 8:27 AM

Congratulations to the Athlete of the Week, Noah McLean

Sport: Hockey

Team Name: Belleville Bulls U10A

November is National Diabetes Awareness Month, and I want to nominate my amazing 9-year-old son for his incredible strength and determination. He was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes almost three years ago, and since then, he has faced every single day with courage and resilience. Managing this disease is a full-time job, but he never lets it hold him back, especially when it comes to the game he loves most: hockey. He works harder than anyone, pushing through challenges most kids his age will never know, and he does it all with a smile and a heart full of determination. His dedication, positivity, and perseverance truly deserve to be recognized. I couldn’t be prouder of the young man he’s becoming, a true example of strength on and off the ice.

Nominate your athlete at www.cool100.ca or www.hits955.ca. Tell us their story and why they deserve the spotlight. We’ll feature them on air on Cool 100 and Hits 955, on our socials, and on InQuinte.ca!
