Belleville man charged with violating probation order not to be around young people

A 31-year-old Belleville man was charged with violating his probation order that prevents him from being around children.

Police were called to an address on Westmount Road about a person breaching a court order on Thursday evening.

Police said the accused was on a court order not to be around any person under the age of 16 years.

He was located and arrested.

The accused was charged with two counts of breaching his court order and was held for a bail hearing on Friday.

Police did not release his name.
