One lucky person with ties to local healthcare is going home with $2,500 in an early bird prize from a Belleville General Hospital Foundation lottery.
The Foundation announced Dr. Hanga Agoston, ticket #99025798004 has won the $2,500 Early Bird prize in the Cab4Cancer Lotto on Thursday, in support of cancer care at BGH.
BGHF executive director Steve Cook stated this win from someone local who has personally championed patient care here at home hits the heart in a big way.
Since launching just last month, Cab4Cancer has already raised over $132,000 and tickets are selling rapidly, with supporters eager for the chance to drive away in this year’s grand prize: a brand-new Ford F-150 or $90,000 cash.
There are still two more $2,500 Early Bird draws to come, giving ticket holders multiple chances to win, plus the 50/50 jackpot, which is already over $14,000 and climbing.
The Foundation is expecting Cab4Cancer to surpass $1 million raised for the first time, supporting patients at the Dr. Douglas A. MacIntosh Cancer Clinic right here at BGH.
