Hastings County Council recommended to sign clinical placement renewal with Loyalist College

By Hailey MacDonald Aug 28, 2025 | 11:59 AM

Hastings County Council has been recommended to authorize the Warden and Clerk to sign the clinical placement renewal agreement with Loyalist College this morning at their regular Council meeting.

The recommendation comes as the Paramedic program offered at Loyalist College is subject to a five-year term and is set to expire in September.

In 2013, Hastings County entered into separate but identical agreements with the Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board and the Hastings-Prince Edward District School Board for the delivery of First Aid and CPR training to students enrolled in the High Skills-Specialized Program. Both parties desire to enter into a new agreement reflective of current practice.

It was also recommended that Hastings County Council authorize the Warden and Clerk to renew the agreement between Hastings County and the Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic and Hastings-Prince Edward District School Boards for the delivery of First Aid & CPR Training.

The report was received by Council.
