Driver charged with impaired after vehicle flips onto lawn in Belleville

A Belleville man was charged with impaired driving after a vehicle flipped onto a lawn in the city’s north end on Wednesday.

On October 29th at 10:21pm, Belleville Police responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision in the city’s north end. Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle flipped over on a lawn. They also observed a male walking down the street who appeared unsteady.

Further investigation revealed that the license plates on the vehicle were not registered to it.

Daniel Leblanc, a 35-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with:

· Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mg.

· Operation while impaired – alcohol

· Driving while under suspension (HTA)

· Use plate not authorized for vehicle

He was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in December.
