Waste collection reminders from Belleville, PEC

By Hailey MacDonald Sep 4, 2025 | 9:44 AM

The City of Belleville is reminding residents of the changes to curbside collection that took place earlier this summer as a result of the province-wide transition to producer-responsibility residential recycling collection.

These changes may have not only impacted households’ weekly collection date, but the time at which their waste is collected as a result of new routes.

City officials tell all residents to ensure waste collection is at the curb by 7 a.m. on their pick-up date so it doesn’t get missed.

Residents who haven’t already found their new collection date, are encouraged to find it using the curbside waste collection map.

Any recycling-related issues moving forward should be directed to E360 Solutions at customerservice-eastont@e360s.ca or 1-866-358-3560 (e.g. missed collection, damaged bins or questions regarding collection).

For any issues related to garbage and organics collection, please report them to the City’s Transportation & Operations Department using the online report-an-issue form.

Meanwhile, the County of Prince Edward reminds residents to have their garbage, green bin, and properly sorted blue boxes out to the curb by 7 am on collection day to ensure pickup.

Each week, residents may place a maximum of two bags per week at the curb and commercial businesses may place a maximum of five bags per week at the curb.

County officials say all bags must have a visible tag and should not be halved or rolled in on themselves.

Garbage bags should be tightly sealed and weigh no more than 40lbs when filled
