A new venture in mental health and addictions services is arriving in Quinte.
Co-founder and CEO of Quinte Wellness Hub Joe Tierney, along with members of the hub’s leadership team, made a delegation on Wednesday to Hastings County’s Community and Human Services Committee
He explained the Hub will be based out of 15 Victoria Avenue and feature a dedicated 10-bed women-only detox and rehabilitation program on the third floor, and a 2nd Floor transition and counselling centre, including a peer-led Emergency Services Program.
A strategic location for wraparound care and a modular home facility will be provided as well.
Tierney says the goal of the Quinte Wellness Hub is to be a community model that integrates recovery, housing, and economic development into one coordinated system.
The organization’s team brings experience in justice, social work, psychology, trauma-informed care and other disciplines and is committed to addressing addiction and housing through sustainable, evidence-based solutions.
The Quinte Wellness Hub will be self-funded through donations and senior government grants and the group did not request financial support from Hastings County.
