Trent Williams notched a pair of goals to lift the Napanee Raiders to a season-opening 4-1 victory over the Amherstview Jets Friday night.

Williams, an assistant captain in his third year with the Raiders, scored 28 goals last season to tie for the team-lead.

Captain Reid Lambert and newcomer Ryan McGee added Napanee’s other tallies.

Andrew Carr added two helpers and Jacob Brown made 38 saves in his Raiders debut after winning with the Wellington Dukes in their OJHL season opener earlier in the week.

Napanee is in Port Hope Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
