UPDATE #2 at 2 pm – Belleville Police have now cleared the scene. They are still working on notifying the next of kin. More details will be released at a later time. The investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE #1 at 12:20 pm – Belleville Police have confirmed that a body was found in the water at Victoria Park. The grim discovery was made at 9:20 am.

No other details have been released. The investigation is continuing.

ORIGINAL STORY – There are few details at this time, but reports are indicating a male body has been pulled from the Moira River in Victoria Park.

Several first responders, including Belleville Police officers, paramedics and firefighters, are on scene to investigate the matter Friday morning.

Belleville Police have not yet commented on the investigation.
