Veteran offensive talent was on display for the Trenton Golden Hawks in a dominant victory on Friday night.
Taeo Artichuk, Jack Ziliotto and Jamie Darlison all scored twice as Trenton dispatched the Haliburton County Huskies 6-1 at the Duncan McDonald Community Gardens.
The Hawks once again jumped out to a quick start with three unanswered tallies, one from Artichuk and two from Ziliotto off clean shots to put them out in front.
Jamie Darlison popped one off the shoulder of Huskies starter Stephen Toltl just four seconds into a powerplay early in the second frame and played stellar defence outside of a Julius Da Silva goal for Haliburton.
Hayden Jeffery took the game over with 28 saves and Darlison and Artichuk put the win on ice with two in the last minute.
Ziliotto and Artichuk finished with four points each on the night, with Beckett Ewart adding a pair of assists and one helper each being contributed by Isaiah Shantz, Matt Indovina, Mason Musclow, Reed Pettipas, Matt Hicks and Joey Brehmer.
Trenton outshot Haliburton County 36-29.
The Hawks are winners of five in a row going to Markham for a 1:30 start on Sunday.
