Prince Edward County Council meets at 7pm on Tuesday, Sep 23.
Agenda highlights include:
A staff report providing Council with a tender award recommendation for the York St reconstruction project, with limits from Picton Main St to Mary St. This project was approved as part of the 2024 capital budget and was identified due to the deteriorating condition of a large trunk sanitary sewer.
A staff report with an update on the Krasyliv Friendship City Working Group and proposed Friendship City Agreement. Staff recommended approving the Krasyliv-Prince Edward County Friendship City Agreement and to move forward with finalizing a signed agreement between both parties. The goal of the friendship agreement is to foster mutual understanding and plan joint efforts in the areas of arts, culture, education, sports, youth services, tourism, environment, public health, and business development.
A staff report recommending a by-law to regulate access to and usage of municipal rights of way. The purpose of the proposed by-law is to establish clear regulations regarding the activities that are prohibited in a municipal right of way, and the activities that may be allowed with permission from the municipality.
