Pirates sink Thunder for first win of PJHL season

The Picton Pirates earned their first win of the PJHL season on Sunday, 5-1 over the Trent Hills Thunder.

Five different goal-scorers, Luc Amat, Caleb Martin, Jakob Gardner, Keenan Wiles and Wesley Jackson all counted for the Pirates.

Owen Findlay added two assists and Nolan Lane made 32 stops in net.

Kieran Ellis had the Thunder’s lone goal, with Christian Lambert and Parker Robbins both seeing time in the crease.

The Pirates get ready for a busy week ahead with a road game in Lakefield at 7:25 p.m. on Tuesday.
