A Belleville woman was charged with assault after a security guard was attacked on Monday.

On October 27th at 9:49am, Belleville Police responded to a business in the city’s east end regarding a report of an unwanted person.

It was reported that a female was causing a disturbance and refusing to leave the premises.

Upon arrival, officers assisted security in escorting the woman out. During the process, she reportedly pulled her head back and struck a security guard in the face.

As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old Belleville woman was arrested and charged with assault.

She was released on an Undertaking with a court date scheduled for December.

No name was released.
