Drug charge laid in Bancroft

A drug charge was laid following a disturbance over the weekend in Bancroft.

On Sunday, October 26, 2025, shortly before 4:00 p.m., officers attended a disturbance in the Town of Bancroft.

One of the parties at a residence was found to be breaching the conditions of a prohibition order. The party was arrested and searched, with suspected methamphetamine being confiscated.

Brandon RUSH, 38, of Bancroft has been charged with failure to comply with a prohibition order and possession of a schedule I substance.

The accused was held for bail and was released by the courts and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on November 4, 2025.
