A serious collision that closed a road north of Port Hope back in the summer has resulted in an arrest of a Peterborough resident.

On July 7, Northumberland OPP and paramedics, along with the Port Hope Fire and Emergency services responded to the two-vehicle collision on County Road 28 near Bewdley.

Both drivers and four passengers were transported to various trauma centers with assistance from Ornge air ambulance services.

County Road 28 was closed for several hours that day for an investigation that ultimately led to an arrest on Monday.

22-year-old Amanpreet Singh faces five counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm, and one charge of stunt driving.

The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in November.
