A Picton man is facing time behind bars in connection with an assault incident over the summer.
39-year-old Stephen Beaudrie plead guilty a week ago in Picton Court to being in possession of dangerous weapons and mischief under $5000 in the July 3 incident on Spring St.
He also entered guilty pleas on assaulting police with a weapon and uttering threats when police were making an arrest on him.
He was sentenced to a total of an additional eight months of jail in addition to the credit for the equivalent of four months of pre-trial custody.
Presiding Justice Hugh Fraser recommended Mr. Beaudrie serve his sentence at St. Lawrence Valley Correctional Treatment Centre.
Beaudrie will be on probation for 12 months and is not allowed to contact his sister during that time unless revocable consent is provided, nor is he allowed to possess any weapons.
