Nature enthusiasts can dig in and gain their green thumbs by helping with two tree planting events this weekend.
Saturday, volunteers can pitch in at Clarence Bird Park on 36 Hampton Ridge Drive in the Settlers Ridge Subdivision.
This event goes at 9 a.m., and is a collaboration between the Quinte Field Naturalists and Rotary Loves Trees.
On Sunday, a 10 a.m. planting at Hamilton Park will be done by QFN together with the Highland Waters Metis Council.
There will be a lunch with this planting as well.
