This Saturday, Quinte residents are encouraged to come together to Light The Night for a future without blood cancers.
Lead organizers Carols’s CUREsaders and the local chapter of Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada are putting on an evening of light, love and hope at Zwicks Park Lions Pavilion from 6-8 pm.
This will be the 5th annual community volunteer hosted Light The Night event in the Belleville, Quinte West and Prince Edward County communities.
More than $250,000 has been raised in the event’s history to help those impacted by blood cancers, through research, advocacy and supports.
Registration begins at 6:00pm followed by an opportunity to meet people in the community and enjoy activities and refreshments.
At 7:00 pm, a platform of speakers will bring greetings and inspirational messages about their experiences, which will be followed by the lighting of our iconic red, gold and white lanterns as participants walk together, along the park pathway bringing light to the darkness of blood cancers.

Funds raised go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada to further the work to end blood cancers and donations fuel life-saving research breakthroughs, vital support services, and powerful advocacy for the blood cancer community in Canada.
