Construction to begin on Octavia and Henry Streets in Belleville

By Hailey MacDonald Sep 29, 2025 | 9:27 AM

Residents in Belleville are being made aware of some reconstruction work that is set to start this week.

The City of Belleville stated it has contracted Len Corcoran Excavating Ltd. for the first phase of the reconstruction of Octavia Street (north of Catharine Street) and Henry Street (west of Murney Street).

This phase includes the full reconstruction of Henry Street between Murney Street and Octavia Street, as well as work within the intersection of Octavia Street and Henry Street.

Traffic control and signage will be in place to direct motorists and pedestrians accordingly.

Phase 2 is expected to begin in the spring of 2026, with full completion set for next fall.
