A local program that helps families deal with food insecurity and enjoy a merrier and more festive Christmas Season is gearing up for this year’s campaign.
A special launch event was held on Friday for this year’s Christmas Sharing Program, which is now celebrating its 59th year in the community.
In 2025, a total of 1,335 households across the Quinte Region registered for assistance putting food on the table at Christmastime (579 single individuals and 756 families).
They also raised donations for the Belleville Firefighters’ Toy Drive, which helped make Christmas brighter for 781 children aged 10 and under.
A total of 331 families were also sponsored by generous community partners, providing help to 1,396 individuals through donated food hampers and other holiday support.
Registration for this year’s program begins on November 2nd and runs through November 27th at their office in Century Village.
