One person dead following crash east of Bancroft

One person is dead following a fatal two-vehicle crash east of Bancroft on Wednesday afternoon.

Highway 28 was closed between Highway 41 and Highway 514 near Denbigh in Addington Highlands around 5 pm.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. No name was released.

The road was shut down for several hours, only fully reopening around 3 Thursday morning.

No other details have been released.
