Two people from GTA arrested after stolen vehicle recovered in Trenton

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested two individuals from the GTA following a traffic stop.

On Thursday, September 25, 2025, at approximately 4:45 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Monogram Place, where two individuals were arrested for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, charges were laid under the Criminal Code (CC) and the Liquor Licence and Control Act (LLCA).

Robert MARARAS, age 28, from North York was charged with the following offences:

Theft of motor vehicle
Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

Vasile NECULAI, age 56, from Scarborough was charged with the following offence:

Theft of motor vehicle

The accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on a future court date.
