Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a driver with impaired driving a vehicle struck and severed a hydro pole and rolled onto its roof early Friday morning.
On Friday September 11, 2026, just after 2:00 a.m., L&A County OPP members were contacted regarding a vehicle that had severed a hydro pole before rolling onto its roof on Centre Street in Napanee. Police attended the scene and, following an investigation, the driver was arrested.
Braden CATON, a 27-year-old from Napanee, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – drugs
- Failure to comply with demand
- Operation while prohibited – two counts
- Careless driving
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on October 20, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded for 45 days.
