Man arrested following firearm call in Frankford

Officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual following reports of person brandishing a firearm in Frankford.

On Thursday, August 27, 2026, at approximately 11:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with a firearm in a public place.

Officers apprehended a suspect without incident.

Dylan WILSON, 34 years old of Quinte West has been charged with:

  • Possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Carrying a concealed weapon
  • Failure to comply with a release order- two counts

The accused remained in custody over the weekend.
