UPDATE: Barn fire in PEC

More details are out regarding a barn fire in Prince Edward County Tuesday night.

Prince Edward County officials statedĀ Fire and Rescue crews attended an active storage barn fire on County Rd. 1 near Consecon Lake around 9:30 p.m. and quickly got it under control.

Damage was contained to the building of origin and is estimated at $360,000.

OPP, Hastings Quinte Paramedic Services and Hydro One were on scene to offer support, but thankfully, there were no injuries.

The fire is not considered suspicious and the cause is under investigation.
