Two local competitors produce solid showings in Waterloo

Two members of the Quinte Legion Lynx Track and Field Club competed at the Ontario Summer Games this weekend in Waterloo.

Standout thrower Jorja Thompson placed 4th in the U14 shot put, as well as two 5th place finishes in U14 javelin and discus.

Thompson contributed 13 points for the Inner Lakes region team who won the overall Ontario Summer Games Track and Field team championship.

Raylynn Ray competed in the U16 800m and 1200m placing 10th and 12th respectively.
