Falling tree causes major damage at Camp Barcovan

There was major damage but no injuries after a large tree fell over at Camp Barcovan in Quinte West on Monday.

Quinte West Fire Chief John Whalen they responded to a call at 10.00 am at 160 Carter Rd.

A large tree had fallen on a trailer and two cars.

There were no injuries.

Hydro in the area was disrupted as well.

The tree had apparently been weakened by the overnight storm and that led to it falling onto the campground.
